JULY 4TH- RODEO FUN

Went to the West Jordan RODEO with my DAD. Originally was going with Jordan but he was not feeling well.
It was really a lot of fun. Been a long time since I had been to one and got me in the mood to go to more of
them, YEA!!! The announcer was really cool, he rode in the arena on a horse throughout the whole rodeo and
announced the whole thing. It was really neat when the FLAG came out. Instead of just having 1 person sing
the National Anthem, we got to all sing with her. IT WAS COOL!!!. We saw bucking broncos, bucking bulls, single
and team calf roping and wrestling. Also got to see around 15 kids, ages 4-7 or 8 do some mutton busting. For
those of you that haven't heard of that before, it is kids riding sheep. It was really cute. Some fell off right away
and there were some that hung on really good. In the end, A girl age 7 I think won with the biggest score for the
longest time on the sheep. All the kids got trophies for participating in the event.
We even had some clowns that made us laugh, rodeo participants threw prizes into the crowd too! After we saw
the girls do the barrel racing the clown brought his dog out and he raced around the barrels too, it was cool to
see that!
After the rodeo was over they lit the fireworks. I have to say that West Jordan put on a great fireworks display!
It was quite impressive if I do say so myself. I was disappointed in that my battery in my camera died so I could
not get any pictures of the finale fireworks display but I did get some pretty good shots. First time I used the
fireworks setting on my camera, turned out pretty good.
All in all it was really quite fun and dad even had fun too!!!

Looks like something I need to do. Never been to one. Glad you had fun!

I love it when we ALL get to sing the National Anthem. So much better than listening to one person singing it, in my opinion.

I didn't know you went to a Rodeo for the fourth! What fun!
I haven't done it ever either!
By the way...thanks for being so great to the girls this weekend. Little Sharon especially loves her Aunty Sandra...she was talking about you all day yesterday.
