Tonks Family Reunion 2010

Nice trailer and a HUGE load. We went swimming at cousin Curtis' house, felt good especially with the hot weather we've been having lately. Had some fun with cousins there. Then we left to go up to the campground and set up camp. Usually the weather is a little cooler in the mountains, not so much this time. It felt pretty much the same as in the valley. The second night it did cool down and that felt good. We had tin-foil dinners the first night for dinner and then came the smores. Turned out pretty good. The Brian and his son Alex led us in singing and told some great stories. It was a lot of fun. On Saturday, we went on some hikes to Timpanogas Cave or to the Cascade Springs, or just hanging out and visiting. Was fun and HOT! After lunch we had some fun games for everyone. BINGO, treasure hunt, scavenger hunt, fish pond, some crafts, etc, made for a fun afternoon. Some of the guys went later and shot clay pigeons. Dinner was dutch oven chicken, potatoes, cobbler and "death by chocolate", so YUMMY. I love Dutch oven cooking. Then we had Karaoke and everyone enjoyed that for sure. So many sang and danced while others sang songs. It was so much fun. Too bad there was a curfew or we could've gone on for hours. Time for sleep, I was soo tired I slept pretty good except when arm woke me up. Did too much again. Sunday was really great. We had kind of a memory time for our grandparents and those who have already gone to be with them. It was really special for me to share memories of mom and grandpa and grandma. Then those that wanted shared testimonies, it was a really special time to do that with family, I really enjoyed that. We had such a great time that we had to take camp down in a hurry cause we had 30 minutes till we were supposed to be out of the campground. Then we went to Jen & Casey's house for lunch. By that time we were all exhausted so we just visited for a little bit. Got home in the late afternoon and got all unpacked and then I think everyone crashed. We must of had fun by how tired we were, isn't that how it all works!!! It was a BLAST!!
